The family of Gary Floyd are uniting to raise money to help reunite him with his daughter. Please help us by showing your support! Gary has a daughter that he has not seen in many years, as we all know it is the upmost importance that a child has both parents involved in their life and to share a loving relationship with them. His family is uniting to raise funds to help make that possible. It has been a long battle to get timesharing with his daughter. At the time of separation she was 4 and she is now going on 12. In the state of Georgia the father has no rights to the child unless paternity is established. In the past we have been to court several times with no success. Last time was due to jurisdiction issues and not having a lawyer due to financial resources. Due to the mother moving out of state and lack of financial resources years started ticking by and we lost contact with the mother. Recently the mother filed to revoke parental rights due to child abandonment, the court found in our favor and denied the revocation of parental rights, due to the fact the child support order was upheld by me for many years even though the mother denied visitation and constant attempts to communicate. Over the past year we have attended 2 mediation sessions in Florida with no compromise being made. The next step is to have timesharing appointed by the court. We have been advised by our attorney that the timesharing guidelines will involve counseling in a therapeutic atmosphere due to no relationship with child. Due to the lengthy process we have exhausted all financial resources. The expenses moving forward for timesharing will include attorney and counseling fees, overnight stays and expenses to and from Florida twice a month over the next 4 months.
